BETA PHOTO: The North face of Extensions 2 Boulder. Probably ...
This is the impressive granite boulder that appears on your right in a kind of woodland clearing as you continue along the Extensions trail and shortly after passing Extensions 1.
I believe this may be the boulder listed as Lone Wolf in Boston Rocks II, but it does not fit the author's GPS or location descriptions.
As you walk around all four sides, you will find that its walls offer little in the way of holds but are more than generous in their display of lichen.
A thorough cleaning will be in order before any climbing can be done on the steep, slabby North face.
This boulder is accessed off of the Extensions trail that is outlined in the Beta photo on the main page.
This is the second major boulder that you will pass by if you are following the trail correctly as it leaves the Alcove area.
In order to continue on the Extensions trail from here, you will have to descend the small hill towards the dilapidated stone wall and be on the lookout for a cairn hidden on the other side.
