Anyone have experience with the Salewa Pro series alpine boots?

How is the flex? How do they climb? What's the ankle support like? How do they stack up against that latest from Scarpa and Sportiva?

Haven't seen them anywhere, but they sure look tempting. A guy posted a comment on Dane's blog saying he played with them at OR show and was able to get them to flex pretty easily when in climbing mode. Otherwise, can't find much in the sense of reviews. There's one in climbing mag, but no general public opinions. Might just have to get a pair and try them around the house.

Up here in WA, one of the local stores had them for a bit. However, they pulled em off the shelves because the interest wasn't there. The store guys "playtested" them and came to the conclusion that the wrench adjustment didn't really change much with the boot. However, they also didn't do any ice in them. I'm hoping (but I don't think so) that Salewa would show up at the Ouray festival for some tryouts. But I don't think they're on the list of sponsors. If I had my way, I'd love to see them there to demo their boots a bit and could pass on Asolo being there for boot demos...

Wouldn't it be awesome if Dane would do up a review? Maybe they'll send some his way for some testing???
