Description

Sloping dihedral, inside corner crack. Somewhat dirty, doesn't seem to get climbed very often.

Location

Farthest left route on Video Bluff. Inside corner left of the bolted Live Wire route.

Protection

Small to medium pro or TR from bolted anchor.

This route does not accept pro until about six feet below (and left) of the anchor, at which point the climber would be twenty or so feet off the ground and well past the crux. This is not a trad climb, the seem is slammed shut. The good news is that this climb is easy to lead by reaching right and clipping the bolts on the neighboring climb Live Wire. These bolts are a bit hard to clip lower in the climb but become easily reachable higher up.

Eve of Destruction is one of the last climbs to dry out on the Video Bluff in the spring due to seepage from the top.

its actually not the farthest left.. ace is next over

very pleasurable route- one of my favorites. hidden crimp/chips on a mild flaring dihedral..
