Howdy

If you're planning to access the West Ridge from the Streamside Trail, ponder this:

The Front Range Climbing Stewards and I are restoring a flood-related blowout close to the awful slippy-slidey boulder.

Flying rocks across the creek

We'll only be working on weekdays. If you're hiking through, make sure the crew knows you're there and wait for directions about how to pass through the work site.

Oh, and make sure any snack foods are properly stowed before entering the worksite. JB, Ben, and Matt are generally hungrier than an Eldo chipmunk tearing through a $500 pack to get a Slim Jim.

As always, you can check the water gauge before deciding what access route to use. The creek has jumped pretty quickly lately. Could be an intense water year - prudence might dictate going "over the top" via the Rincon trail.

South Boulder Creek as of 4/3/14. Historical average in grey.

Regards

If you'd like to help the crew, we'd like your help! We're looking for two volunteers per day, 9am-4pm, this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (5/6, 5/7, 5/9).

You can register here:
eventbrite.com/e/streamside…

Previous trail volunteers have noticed an immediate improvement in onsite ability, an abiding sense of calm focus, and irresistible charisma.*

* Absolute BS - but you can earn some hours for a volunteer pass and make a valuable contribution to Eldo...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
