That's because it was the troll. No worries. It is locked/deleted again. Just quit feeding it.

Having climbed both of these places I can say that NC in general is way better.

PS. Don't forget about naked people climbing The Dangler too. It seems to be a pretty strong tradition at the Gunks

The Gunks suck and are filled with too many downstate "climbers" and and New Jersey-ites anyway. Stay the hell away. Everyone should go climb at Eldo and Eldo only because it's clearly the best climbing crag in the country.

Both places suck for one reason: the egos are unreal. Give me a pristine mountain with no humans any day over either.

Me and the offspring walking back to the car after a day of cragging.

In Eldo, you'd already be dead.

This painting was taken from engravings made during the 1859 Macomb Expedition, which attempted to locate the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers in the present-day Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. Anyone who has spent time in Indian Creek will recognize the features here.

If you're interested, the survey's official report, as well as more landscape paintings like this one, are available in full on google books.

books.google.com/books?id=674QAAAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&d>>>

You could tell it was ellenor when she corrected the OP's spelling of her in name in her response... he said Ellanor she corrected with ellenor

I haven't been to either and I don't really care. ^This is why^. I can't wait to go back to the Organ Mountains.
