Matt on Edward Silverhands

Description

A decent route to warm up on when at the Sunny and Steep wall. Good holds heading almost straight up the face.

Location

About 50 yards west of the Sunny and Steep wall is a large boulder with two routes on it. This is the route on the south face.

Protection

3 bolts.

The bolt hangers on this climb are an older style and there are only welded shuts as the anchor (both of which are a little loose). It's probably fine, but I decided not to climb this one. The third hanger is also a spinner

Route is okay, even kind of fun, but all three bolts have the old recalled Leeper hangers that have been known to fracture under body weight. The anchors are welded shuts with a bad case of galvanic corrosion. The hardware is definitely not safe.
