Edelrid Thermo-shield & Pro-sheild treatments

I'm not necessarily looking for a new rope, but I am curious, I was looking through Edelrid's product line and noticed that they have a series of different rope treatment techniques. On top of the typical dry shield and core, I noticed that they have "Thermo-shield" ropes, as well as "Pro-shield" treatments. While these names sounds fancy and quite nice, I was really not able to find any literature explaining what they actually do. Does anyone have any info, or any resources explaining what these different rope treatments are designed to do? I am also curious if anyone does anything similar?

Google was immediately helpful (< 10 seconds from initial curiousity to desired result) if one spells shield consistently correctly.

These descriptions are on the packaging. You can claim anything. I am curious as to what it actually is that they are doing differently and what makes it special.

Some info:

Thermo Shield treatment = "A heat process to stabilize individual yarns, ensuring the rope stays supple throughout its working lifetime." All Edelrid ropes have Thermo Shield!

Dry Shield = "A chemical finish that protects the sheath and core against moisture and dirt; finish resists washing out and improves the lifespan of the rope."

Pro Shield = Microscopic Teflon particles are bonded to the yarns providing a protective layer with greatly improved load-bearing properties."

All ropes from the Pro Line have all three treatments.
Ropes from the Sport Line have Thermoshield.
