Best 5.6 in the state!!! Gunks-like.....long stretch of good stone with very nice views of the valley and landscape beyond as you ascend out of the trees.
There is a skinny, lonely-looking young pine about 1/3 of the way up the route. Also the beginning area can sometimes have water seeps and be wet depending on season.
This broad, expansive portion of the cliff gives an exciting feeling of exposure. Scenic and good quality for the grade. Great intro route.
100 feet left of Hob Knob, on the main portion of the cliff. Below this route (below and in front of it) there is a lower, detached portion of cliff containing the short route, City of Worms, and 25 feet left of this route is the route listed here as 'Unnamed 5.9'. And all of this is left (west) of Wolfe Wall by 100 yards or so along the trail at the cliff's base.
Toprope for now. Can be led on gear but spacey placements for the upper 3/4 of the route would lead to an 'R' rating at least. Fixed anchors at the top
