| So I just read that there is this huge event at Rumney this upcoming weekend.
I'm simply wondering if this is going to prevent me from going climbing at other crags than Waimea.
As well, am I going to have to pay the fee for the event?? I sure hope not... I just wanna climb hehe.
thanks,

| I would guess that the other crags will be the same as any other weekend.
you will not have to pay... that is only for clinics, film screening and concert. so.. no worries.
you will be able to see some hard climbing pro's climbing hard shit if you wander over to waimea for a rest break though :)
weather looks freaking awesome too.

| We went despite the rain. We climbed, despite the rain. We had a blast at the shows, despite the rain. It wasn't raining Saturday during the day, so you could find dry routes on Waimea, Main Cliff, a few other random spots and some dry enough boulder problems.
The pros canceled their clinics and sat at the mountain and showed their slide shows. They were cool to chat with at their sponsor's tents in the evening and seemed pretty bummed that we had gotten on some dry stuff and they hadn't even ventured over to the mountain.
We were motivated to climb and made the best of what we were dealt.
