Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

This covers the eastern side of the broad Wonderland Valley which tends to be less crowded than the more popular western side due to it's high concentration of classic routes. Please see the individual crags for more detailed approach information.

Getting There

Standard Wonderland approach via South Wonderland Approach and once in the Wonderland Valley proper stay on the main trail heading north as it passes through a brushy section after which the Freak Brothers Dome will come into view.

Plan on 30 - 45 minutes for the approach.
