Description

This was incorrectly (sorry) listed as Pitkin Creek Falls, which I've been informed by Griz to be 3 miles up a trail.

This is a nice bit of ice just west/downhill from TimberFalls/Columbine/Firehouse area. The climbing is 110 feet of nice ice that thins to a open or closed tube at the top. There is a short pitch of ice above this. Rap off trees.

Leaner ice conditions give rise to a nice M6 TR out an overhang to a hanging curtain to the left.

Access status is apparently legal via open space access (thanks, Rob!). Parking is available to the west. Tickets are provided to those who park on the street.

Protection

Ice screws.

Fun route, less sustained and less classic than Pumphouse and much less hacked out than the Staircase. Not sure about the 110 foot length, a 60m rope worked just fine for us as a slingshot TR. Be very careful what you anchor to above this climb, some of the bushes that have rap anchors on them are beyond bad. Be prepared to back up fixed anchors.
