I've dealt with two different crush injuries to my digits in the last year (I need to be a lot more careful). The first was slamming my finger in a door last November, and a much more serious encounter between my thumb and a hammer 6 weeks ago, which resulted in a broken bone (I'm slowly reintroducing climbing, but still avoiding all use of the thumb in climbing).
My advice is to be really careful, it is very easy to make these things worse when they seem better, and the stress of climbing can open or irritate recently closed wounds. It sucks, but I'd possibly recommend cancelling that trip to give it time to heal properly, as scar tissue from a partially healed and then-reopened wound sucks.
Also, don't call SAR and waster their time and resources over a hurting finger. I seriously hope you are joking about that.
Not sure how bad it is, but I've found that taping 2 fingers together helped to support the injured one and let the good one take some of the forces. Soft coverage of wounded area is a must too.
