Description

The climbing is situated in a well protected valley that receives sunlight most of the day. Winter, spring, & fall are the prime seasons here, but you can climb in the summer if you don't mind the heat & sun.

Getting There

Head North out Cody on Wyo-120 (Belfry Highway), drive approx. 2.5 miles out of town and take a left at the Shooting Complex sign. Drive past the shooting range approx. 1/4 mile and take a right on a dirt road between two hills. Proceed until a 4x4 section of road appears; either park here, or drive a 1/2 mile more to a pull out on the left. Directly below is the Muzzle Loader Boulder. If you drive/walk to the end of the road you will be directly above the main area.

Start with the obvious sandy holds under the prow... huck out left to catch the jug pocket... snag a good crimp with your right hand... another good jug pocket awaits your left paw... grab the red side pull out right and cruise threw good holds to the top out. The crux is probably the 1st move... the rest of the moves are around v2-v3. A little but sandy, but this problem has great movement all the way through....[more]   Browse More Classics in WY
