Dropline as of 24 Feb '08.

Description

The area hosts, among others, three awesome climbs: Dropline, Welcome to the Machine (rarely in), and Dracula -- possibly the most famous climb at Frankenstein.

Getting There

The Dropline Area lies within 15 minute walk along the tracks from the iron bridge. Look left and locate the unmistakable yellowish icicle on the left. That's Dropline.

Dracula WI4+  NH : *NH Ice and Alpine Climbing : ... : Dropline Area
The icefall derives its name from perhaps some resemblance to Dracula's winged cape. The climb is well visible from the road.Moderate and one of the most popular climbs at Frankenstein. Almost always in. The easier left side goes at WI4+. The right side is slightly harder (WI5?) and is more dependent on conditions.Get there early or get in line....[more]   Browse More Classics in NH
