BETA PHOTO: Drilling in dark 5.7,
error of our ways 5.7 trad

Goofy Start. I get up on the boulder and start off straddling the cave then go up right. All the good holds are super polished so just follow the shine. Good easy lead. Guide book says the Lost Bolt is the best 5.7 in the Canyon but I believe Drilling In The Dark Is

Take the second trail of Fucoidal (further east)there will be an obvious crag take the trail that goes east away from that crag around the boulder into a second alcove. route is just right of the Cave.

It's pretty sewn up 5 or 6 bolts to chains

I agree with the book that Lost Bolt is the best 5.7. This is a good route, but it's only like 25 feet long (maybe 30), whereas Lost bolt is easily 50 and has more fun moves on it.

I just looked at this description. There's no way this route is 45 feet.

Pretty fun easy quick climb; like 25 feet long, locked in draws at the top :) Edges are greased, but still some fun moves.
