I'm not sure if the owner views MP at all, but after the incident at Bubba City last week, I snagged your draws afterward and left them at Water Stone's lost and found. You and your wife's name are there so you should be able to pick them up easily.
I'm not exactly sure of all of the minor details, but here's what I experienced.
I arrived at Bubba City - Sandstonia with my friend to do some warming up. We were at the Geisha Girl/Mrs. Fields Follies start and I was able to see a climber making his way up Shady Lady (5.7). I looked up, saw him at the anchors, looked down and heard a fall. I could hear him semi-frantically asking to be lowered so I threw my approach shoes back on an ran over to check on him. Things weren't okay and we had to call for medical assistance to get him helped out.
Based on what I gathered from the belayer and then after climbing the route to retrieve his draws, it seems that he was at the anchors but never was able to clip. The belayer (I assume) must've thought he'd clipped in and payed out a bunch of slack. The fall zone was totally safe if the slack was reasonable, but with excess there are some ledges that would prove to be nasty. I think the climber ended up falling give or take 30 feet.
Again, I don't know how he fell or why, but he fell far. He never struck the ground or else things would've been much worse than they were, but he seemed pretty bruised and bloodied from the ledges he struck.
I really think this was just a miscommunication that ended up hurting. The two were new to the area and the belayer also mentioned they were novice climbers.
