Access Issue: Closed half of the year Details

Thumb Butte is closed for half of the year for peregrine falcon nesting. Closure is from February to July each year.

Shady in the morning, cold in the winter months.

Getting There

The best way to get to this area, is to climb up a route on the south face/east face or climb up the descent gully. Follow the ridge line to the top. Right before the true summit, look for rappel anchors in a corner, on the right side of the cliff.
