Description

Spider heavy climbing.
So many spiders it is hard to enjoy oneself, but the lack of crowds helps out a great deal.

There are quiet a few enjoyable climbs, and the area will never have crowds. Don't make the mistake of only ever going to Junkyard and never exploring downstream.

Getting There

continue past junkyard heading west for 5-20 min, astop anywhere and you are at dog then later at cat wall

Heading over the roof

Amarillo Dawn 5.11a  WV : New River Gorge : ... : Dog and Cat Walls
Super crack climbing if you can avoid the spiders! Begin near the left side of the narrow face, at a right-facing corner and follow it to a ledge. Tackle the spiders and the overhang by following the finger size crack up and over the energy depleting roof to the top....[more]   Browse More Classics in WV

Lots and lots of poison ivy, some good routes, and very few people compared to junkyard

When crossing the power line cut, be sure to take the trail that trends downhill. There is a trail that goes above these walls, takes you nowhere, then peters out. It wasted 45 mins of my semi-valuable time.
