The "Help Catch a Devil's Lake Vandal" thread just disappeared from the Midwest forum. There weren't any nasty comments in it, or any other reason I can see that it would be taken down. It was related to the Midwest climbing/outdoor community. Why was it removed?

A couple hours ago someone posted something along the lines of "It's probably not even in DL. This is probably a waste of time." Now the thread's gone. Can an OP delete an entire thread?

maybe the vandal found it and used techie/hacker skills to remove it..

Come on Carl, you know that there is no rhyme or reason to what the mods delete around here. Someone pisses and moans a little bit and POOF. It's gone. Too bad really. The site is becoming sterile and boring.
