Description

The boulder-strewn ridge just W of 2nd Mountain. A bit of a hike, but some amazing bouldering potential, as well as many fine existing problems. Beta available in the ROCKingham County climbers' guide.

Getting There

Follow Rte 33W from Harrisonburg, passing Rawley Springs Groc & Convenience store. Wind through S curves just past turn-off to Gum Run, passing Second Mountain Road. Turn R into Rocky Run, follow to the end of the road and park in the turn-around loop. Follow streambed upriver until ATV trail climbs away to the L (west). Follow ATV trail to intersection with fire road, turn R and follow to first meadow. Turn L (downhill) and drop over ridge, tending L to intersect bouldering walls and monoliths.

Any problems names, grades, and photos would be awesome. I know it says there is a guide to the place, but the vast majority of people on MP don't have easy access to that. More information would be greatly appreciated, and photos are always exciting. Thanks!
