The route's namesake--a prairie rattler.

Description

In the rock description for 5 & Dime, this problem is the arete mentioned as the first one encountered after the cliffs to the North. When my pictures come back, it will be more clear on what to look for....

The problem uses holds on both sides of the rounded arete and the crux is moving up to some good jugs around the 10 foot mark. A fall here would not be too bad, but be sure not to fall off past the crux. Definitely highball.

Protection

Highball, but not committing for the last few moves so a pad is not necessary.
