Best day of climbing ever. Darin Limvere photo.

After a TON of hard work, many trips to the midwest to film and around the country for the interviews, the DLFA Project film is DONE!!! Darin wants to thank everyone for being patient, and wants everyone to know the premiere dates are coming soon! (He's in the Bugs without internet right now).

Spread the word!

Check the Facebook DLFA Project page for updates to come.

We need a showing at the Ringling Theatre in beautiful downtown Baraboo! Assuming it's still in business...

SUPER EXCITED!!!

Just saw this,,,didn't get an email notice from kickstarter links. Is after-party at the theater too, or elsewhere in Madison? Free parking near the theater? Do we have a nice corn field nearby to camp in, puke out the night in fukness? Package deal at a local Super 8?

Woodchuck -- I don't know specifics about afterparty, but I think the Barrymore will stay open a while - they serve drinks. It's also right across the street from One Barrel brewing company, and there is other stuff in the area as well for later on. Regarding hotel/motel block rooms, I don't think so, you're on your own there. You're not too far from a few options. We did make it later in the evening specifically for Chicago area folks who need to come up after work. Saturday would have been nice but was not an option.

Whippin -- digital download will probably be available only after the premieres, I'll ask Darin.

I've had other inquiries about a Minneapolis premiere as well. There will be one. I don't know the details, and my work computer blocks facebook. Check out the DLFA film Facebook page for further and previous updates. IIRC the MN premiere will be in November as well.

Trying to stay warm up on Brownstone Wall Red Rocks, NV

Woodchuck....

I live just down the street from the Barrymore theater (about 6 city blocks). Your welcome to pitch a tent in my back yard if need be. I have a grassy backyard and there is nice off street parking avaliable with easy 1 minute access to my back yard through the Olbrich Park grounds and a gate in backyard.

hi

My vote for an after party is a little bar 2 blocks away called the Ideal bar. AS far as the MSP show, it will be Nov 8th. Location TBA.

Hey thanks,,I looked on maps and see alot of bars in the area,,it must be a popular part of town. I see a motel 6 just up the road a couple miles on 151,,probably will be too drunk and cold to tent it without dying of hypothermia. Thanks for the info. Hope the film can be pressed to DVD sometime too after the events.

I'd love to have a DVD as well. I think it depends on interest though as it's expensive to make them, and the more interest there is the cheaper it gets.

How many coming to the showings that we know of? I bet after Minn. shows, we should easily have over 100 who would be interested in a DVD to be pressed up. Have an interest check-in page at the theaters for a start, or back to kickstarter to register the interest. Then you can sell all the extra copies at the South Shore and Chateau stores at Devils Lake State Park.. LOL!!! I bet the DNR would love to see that on the tourist souvenier shelves!!!

I would absolutely love a DVD as well. I'm a WI transplant in UT so I won't be able to make any of the showings but would love to watch it!

Hayley there will be high def digital download at dlfafilm.com after the premieres for sure, and after the dust has settled from the premieres (at the Madison premiere) I'll ask Darin about DVDs. Don't wanna harass him about it right now -- pretty stressful time with the upcoming shows and all.

Buy your tickets for the madison show at the barrymore website or get an old fashioned paper ticket at boulders climbing gym and tell your friends!

Not available to buy at the show that night? pre sales required online?
I'm hoping for the DVD because not all of us have an internet hookup or computer that will take a movie download. Never have, never will either. Even an email with several 5MB pics attached takes like 20 min. to load for me, and often that freezes up and quits too.

In true DLFA style, we should all be sure to bring plenty of underage young girls along to enjoy our lifestyle on film. Roam the campground and haul them in for the show!!!

We can hatch some plans in Madison for DVD production when we're all in Madison. We can make it happen if Darin is interested.

Even if it doesn't come out until like late spring or next summer, it would a great addition to watch with the new upcoming Stonemasters history film due out in early 2014 from the reelrock people. Look forward to that crazed film too!!!

Good idea Leo, having some kind of signup to guage interest in a DVD printing near the bar would be a great idea -- both at Madison and also Minneapolis premeires. If it's 10 people, not gonna happen. If it's 100, then probably would be feasible.

As a side note, the MN premiere has been delayed until early December, TBD.
