This is a long established area with awesome concentration and unique features and geology... You have to check this place out. The holds are smooth and kind, and there is plenty of shade to cool off in. The most interesting feature is the natural tunnel that has formed, in which you can chill out under and take a break... of traverse through...

Before I became a climber, I had hiked up here as a kid... this was the one place that really stuck in my mind as a super unique area... I still feel like a kid in a candy store when I up here.

Getting There

Walk from FEA to the back across the tops of the boulders (with the deep crevasses beneath you) until the boulders widen and you can walk down. Find the tunnel and you're there. Or hike down the AT until it drops down into the boulders. From there walk left and you'll find the tunnel.

Climbing Season

For the McAfee's Knob area.
