Description Suggest change

This is a nice quick route to do when you have half a day or the weather is questionable later in the day. There are some very good bolted pitches on this route and some not so great pitches but overall it is a worthy outing.
Pitch 1: Climb up some loose broken rock to the left of the Trenker corner towards a ramp. The ramp has occasional old pitons for protection but you should also have a few small cams and or wires and threads. Climb up and right past all the pins until you reach a spike to stand upon and clip the two bolt anchor just before the climbing becomes difficult (and bolted). 5.4 28 meters.
Pitch 2: Follow a bolt line past few crimpy difficult moves out right and up then back left and finally to a legde. 5.10c 25 meters.
Pitch 3: Follow occasional bolts up the face to a ledge, step right and climb a small crack to another bolted belay. 5.10 28 meters.
Pitch 4: Climb up over a small roof following pockets and bolts to a belay just right of a flake. 5.10a 20 meters
Pitch 5: Link this with the prior pitch if you wish. Basically climb more bolted face slightly right then back left to a ledge. 5.10a 18 meters.
Pitch 6: Climb up the bolt line to the top. 5.10 a 18 meters.

Location Suggest change

Park at Passo Sella. Hike back towards the road going down to Canazei to the right behind the store where the trail starts immediately going up a deep rut in the hillside. Pass beneath the south side of the First Sella Tower to the Southwest face. Head up and the right along the base towards the huge obvious corner (Trenker corner). The route starts just to the left of this corner on a steep somewhat loose ramp. Approach time 20-30 minutes.
Descent: From the summit traverse along the narrow ridge right towards the Second Sella Tower. Climb down into the notch then continue traversing right along an exposed but well marked and traveled path/groove until it is possible to turn back and go right again to a short rappel. From the rappel it is a short walk back to the base and around to your car.

Protection Suggest change

10 quick draws, a few long slings and threads. A small selection of cams and wires.
