Description Suggest change

Sandstone rock, face and crack climbing. Good quality. No chalk or cams allowed. You either climb with knots or you can climb the sport routes, keeping in mind that the sport routes are very runout in my opinion (5 - 7 meters between bolts).

Getting There Suggest change

Decín is a town in the north of the Czech Republic. It is the largest town in the Dìèín District. It is near the German border, not far from Dresden and 83 minutes north of Prague by rail. To drive, you can take the A8 motorway north close to the German border and then take the exit with signs for Decin. The climbing area is just beyond Decin, on both sides of the Elbe River. Great Sandstone Cliffs on either bank.

Great place to stay in the area is Hotel Vyprez. hotel-vyprez.cz/kontakty?ph…

This hotel is in between Decin and Ludvikovice.

Close to the town of Ludvikovice is a cemetary with free parkign which allows access trails to several towers. But more recent climbing can be foudn by drivign to Labska Stran, 15 minutes north of Decin. ceskosaske-svycarsko.cz/acc….

Trails just outside the hotel gate to the left lead down to several cliffs. But if you enter the hotel gate the first trail on the left leads down to other cliffs and just beyond the bar and patio on the left is another trail that allows you access to several climbs including 4 sport routes on the Belveder Wall, which can be seen from the patio/bar. The wall is below the lookout.
