Description Suggest change

Deadman I is the biggest and the best area at Deadman Summit. The problems are fairly moderate with V5 being the hardest, however, due to the height of many of the problems they still warrant respect.

Most of the problems have excellent pocketed tuff with flat pumice landings.

Although surround by Jeffrey Pine trees, the area can get very hot on summer afternoons with the sun baking down.

There are 3 distinct sections, the Left Wing, Center Block and Right Wing.

Getting There Suggest change

From the turn off at the 395 (1.1 miles north of the Crestview maintenance yard), turn immediately right onto the pumice road. At the first fork in the road (0.2 miles), take a right and follow the road to park up under the trees below the boulders.
