Interesting comment in the gray Dick book ("Couldn't find any 5.8 on this"). My buddies and I did this route a long time ago and it was clear to us that the route starts by leaning out and/or hand traversing leftwards along the lip of the initial overhang, then pulling up onto the face. A contrived move to be sure, but every bit a 5.8. Since we were working from a DW guidebook at the time, I'm surprised Dick forgot this.
