Does anyone have any information about this cave in clear creek?

I may be thinking of something different, but I believe the cave you're referring to has been closed by Open Space for some years. I think it was really fragile inside and so it's been boarded up & is off-limits. Contact JeffCo Open Space about it if you want more info.

Next time you drive up the canyon, a little before you hit lil eiger look up and right where you can see an old road. At the top of the second switch back is a giant concrete barrier. That's where it is. I believe the cave was closed after some vandalism occured a while back. Not sure what they did, but it sounds like it's a pretty awesome cave

It is a pretty cool cave. Some straws, and flowstone though much of it is quite dusty. There were many crystals taken out by the School of Mines back when it was discovered (pre-JeffCo ownership). It was discovered when the previous landowner was developing a quarry at the site and they drilled into it. There's even some speculation that there is some geo-thermal activity not far below the floor of the cave. Oh, and yes it is closed to protect what's left of the crystals.
