Description
Often windy, being right by the Ocean. Solid granite routes abound with over 250 routes, 50 to 120 feet long, ranging from VS to E9, with lots of middle extremes dominating the grade scale. The classics are mostly E5 and up, plus a few in the E2 and E3 range. Some are not so well protected, and all the harder routes are tough.
Getting There
Half a mile NNE of Llandudno. From the town, turn right at the Empire Hotel, then left at the Grand Hotel to the Great Orme. Go through the toll gate and after 200 yards around a bend, the crag will be seen. The big main section has lots of E6s, and the walls stretch around the corner to some yellow and blackish walls.
