As the title says I would really like to boulder the Bishop Area August 11th-13th. I'll be flying into Vegas from Massachusetts with two friends so I won't be able to bring one. If anyone could help us out and let us borrow theirs or come out with us to the Buttermilks and we could supply the beers or gas money that would be great. Thanks

Steve,
If you end up not finding one there is a store three to four doors down (south)from Gear Exchange that rents boulder pads. I forget their name and I don't know the price but it is a back up plan.

Wilson's rocks! I just rented a pad from them when I passed through Bishop a few weeks ago. It was like $10-15/day. Also no need to worry about having a guidebook. The guys at the shop are SUPER helpful with getting you to some good climbing. They're open until 9pm so you can get a full day of climbing in before having to return the pad.

Adam is right. But get the Bishop Area guidebook by Lewis/Croft. That way you get enough info for the bouldering and can do some actual climbing if you so choose.

Awesome guys. $15 is reasonable and I saw on their website you can reserve one so I'll probably call ahead and do so when I find out exactly when I'll be through there.

As for the guide book I'll pick one up. It's always nice having print with you

always buy your own copy of the guide book when you travel

If you're just planning to Boulder Wills' guidebook is extremely comprehensive and well executed.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
