Description

Climb the nicely featured solid slab and slightly less solid crack in the dihedral past 2 bolts to a good ledge. There is still a bit of loose and poor quality rock in the dihedral to be mindful of.

Location

Cougar Katie climbs a right leaning ramp and dihedral system near the right side of the Petrified Turtle Buttress. It is the rightmost of the prominent ramps.

One 70m rope gets you to the ground from a 2 bolt anchor on the ledge - not sure if a single 60m would make it or not.

Protection

2-3 sets of cams from yellow alien to 3 camalot. A big piece or two is helpful but not required.

My friend Katie, who is a Washington State alum(and quite a looker) was running a marathon that weekend. Told her i'd name the route after her since i couldn't be there to cheer her on.
