BETA PHOTO: Coolsville and the Cigar at Downtown Crag in Ten S...

The Trail from the parking area meets the wall at the Coolsville area. As of 2012, 10 routes here depending on how you count them.

Getting There

As per the guidebook park in pull out 16 which is the one about a half mile down from the Main Mondo parking area
(the crowded one). This parking area is much larger and has but one lonely tree, which unfortunately was burned to a crisp along with the rest of the hillside, in 2012 by an errant cigarette butt (we suppose). Hike to the highest point of the parking area to find the trail, zig zig your way to Downtown and Coolsville

Climbing Season

For the Downtown area.

Featured Route For Coolsville

Sleep Reaction 5.13a 7c+ 29 IX+ 29 E6 6c  WY : Ten Sleep Canyon : ... : Coolsville
This route has demanding moves on a variety of small holds right from the start. Slopers, crimps and pockets and some serious tension are required to reach the 3rd clip. More tough moves allow a rest at the 4th and/or 5th clip. One teaser crux guards the anchor. Don't blow it up there! Trying to stem at the beginning is not part of this climb, so sack up and do it!...[more]   Browse More Classics in WY
