Contribution licenses

There are many missing areas/routes I would like to contribute to this site, but before I do so I want to ensure my contributions can be used by anyone as they see fit. This includes commercial applications as I believe having an open set of data that people can build products on (aka the MP iOS/android applications) benefits our entire community.

I would most likely like to license my works under a (Creative Commons) CC BY or CC BY-SA (used by Wikipedia) license.

I could include licensing text in my contributions, but this would not be reliably machine readable so other people can build off it.

It looks like theCrag supports this but their information is very sparse for North America.

Any ideas or feedback on this?
