I'm looking for a consistent climbing partner as addicted to climbing as I am and down to climb as much as possible this year. I work weekends so s/he would need to be available on Mondays, Tuesdays and/or possibly Wednesdays.
I'm pretty new to the climbing scene. I started following climber friends up routes in Yosemite and J Tree in the late summer/fall of 2012. I am very enthusiastic about climbing (I climbed my butt off at the gym this winter and got outside every chance I could) and highly motivated to develop as an well rounded overall climber.
I currently climb at East Bay gyms 3-4 times a week, take day trips to local sport crags (Mt. St. Helena, Diablo, Sonora, etc.), and just started leading easy trad (5.6/5.7). My first trad lead trip was 5 days in Red Rocks doing single pitch and a few multi pitches.
I would like to climb mainly in Yosemite and Tahoe this year with the goal of comfortably leading 5.9 trad. Ideally my partner would have clear climbing goals for the season and be chill to hang out with around the campfire.
I have a Honda CRV, gear for sport climbing, but no trad gear yet (apart from one #9 nut that scored as some booty). Potential to borrow a rack from friend if not in use.
Give me a reply if you're interested.
