Spring Creek Tower.

Description

This area is much cooler that the first buttress area and provides a pleasant alternative on hot days. There is a wide variety of routes here, both sport and trad. The rock is mostly good but the lack of traffic means that routes might have a bit of loose stuff sitting around.

See Malloy's "Gunnison Rock" for more route information.

Getting There

Spring Creek is the canyon just behind the Harmel's area. From Harmel's (about 7 miles from Almont), turn left (north) on Spring Creek Road. This turn is right at the store. After about 2 miles the road turns dirt - the climbing starts almost immediately after this point.
