Description

Devil's Kitchen is a free-standing, Wingate sandstone landform in No Thoroughfare Canyon. There is climbing on both the east and west sides of the landform, as well as inside the "kitchen". Climbs range in difficulty from 5.5 to 5.11. The area is frequented by hikers and tourists, especially on the weekends.

Getting There

Drive approximately 200 yards past the East Entrance kiosk and park at the signed Devil's Kitchen Trailhead. Hike south into No Thoroughfare Canyon. After crossing a large, rocky wash, work up toward large Wingate rocks (Devil's Kitchen), which are in view above the trail (Desert Rock III, pg. 334).
