BETA PHOTO: Sweet Tides.

Description

Originally intended as somewhat of a warm-up for Belays of Glory, but turned out to be a fun outing in itself.

Except for the first say 5 feet, the stone on this route is immaculate. The position is unique.

Sweet Tides follows a prow of sorts with a few tricky cruxes that graze the 5.11 mark especially if you are shorter. The technical crux is around the second to third bolt, but the moves cranking through the last few clips give a surprising little pump!

Location

First route at the top of the trail in the middle of the crag. You can't miss it. See photo.

Good stone, but needs more traffic, it's a lil flakey still. Not a bad idea for the belayer to wear one of them brain buckets on this.

This was a fantastic line!! I found it cryptic and exciting. Although I climb the last section of the line a bit off route it still had a high excite meter!! Great moves on good stone. Nice work, Darrren.
