Having done the route a few more times now, I think the first pitch crux slab is worthy of 5.11a. I changed it in the route description, but not in the above photo. The crux pitch of Sympathy for the Devil is clearly visible in this photo; it's the overhanging wall to the right of the arete at the top of the wall.
