DescriptionThunder Point is the small buttress along the east stream bank as you head down the West Trail. It is just before the Oceanic Wall, and boasts two short routes: an 11d 8 bolt route and a 5.7 trad route. Both routes stay in the summer shade until noonish, and they share a bolted anchor from which you can rap. Getting ThereHead down the West Trail and look for a bolted arete on your left before you get to the Oceanic Wall. If you're at the Oceanic Wall, start heading up and out. If you walk more than two minutes, you've gone too far. Again, the bolted arete and "conspicuous dihedral" (Rossiter) are hard to miss.
