Chip Phillips, completing the long reach move that...
Description
Pass the Sputnik Boulder like you are going up to the main area for the Lower Satellites and the Third Flatiron. Do a big S-turn past some other boulders and you will come to a fork in the trail. Go left towards the main Satellites area and the huge wall immediately on your left is The Wave.
The southwest corner is prominent and overhanging on its south side. Making Waves goes to the top on the west side (or just left) of the arete. Begin on the obvious incut edges on the corner. High-step and do a reachy move to a good edge up on the face. A couple more moves on edges and you will be pulling over the top of this sweet problem.
The holds higher up on this problem were covered in lichen the first time I started working it. I sent it with Ben soon thereafter. Although the starting edge was covered in chalk, I assumed this was from people trying/sending the more obvious problem mentioned in Benningfield's guide to Colorado Bouldering, which ascends the south side of the same arete. If I'm wrong, let me know and I'll make things right about the FA.
I just commented on this problem under another problem. I did this problem last fall, so you beat me to the FA, but no tellin' whether you really own it or not. No need to reply on the other problem I questioned.
