Tomato Rock is a 12 foot high boulder that looks like a ... well you know. It has also made it on to Roach's Flatiron classic list. There are a least a dozen problems on this rock. The easiest route for tall people is on the north side (5.8). The easiest route for shorter folks is on the south side near some finger pockets. (5.8) I found that the easiest down climb was on the north side.
Getting There
This rock is located on a hill 50 yards west of the Mesa Trail and 150 yards south of the Bluebell canyon. A small trial leaves the Mesa trail and goes right by the rock.
