As I recall, Jeff Achey did the 1st free lead of Salvation. This was often top-roped by many a climber and was later lead by Achey. The slab is thin and marginally protected as I recall, and then there is a bolt under the roof. The crux is hanging on and turning the lip, hanging on to a swing out after an extended undercling move to reach the lip. Beautiful moves.
