I recall setting up the French Fry by hand drilling the bolts on the south face. A few days later I was bouldering around the cave and Pat Adams came cruising by looking for a climbing partner. I told him that I had a new sport route waiting to be red-pointed on the south face of the Potatoe Chip. He was psyched for something new and so we headed up the steep approach, roped up and established the the route with the 1st and 2nd leads.
