DescriptionThis is a supreme, Yosemite style, granite block with awesome boulder problems on its west and south faces. A great finger, hand, roof crack splits the inspiring block. The great landings, along with and overhanging arete and roof problems cap this off as a true classic. I discovered this on the Fourth of July, a day before the great climber John Bachar passed on, I thought it only natural to set it in stone as an ode to the tragically fallen master. Getting ThereDrive up Boulder Canyon slightly past Boulder Falls for 8 miles. Park in large pull out on the right and locate the Lion's Den, hike up steep gully on left, west side of the Lion's Den Cliff to access the Law of Physics Crag, found just above the Lion's Den. Bachar's Block is found setting on the summit of the Law of Physics Crag, approach around the left side to summit. This problem can be done as a sit start below the head wall, or to make it a grade or two harder, crawl back into the cave, kind of like the Bachar Cracker in Yosemite, and climb it as a low ball roof crack....[more] Browse More Classics in CO
