Shane on Take the Termites Bowling

Description

A relatively newly bolted crag just east of Practice Rock. Somebody went bolt-crazy on this rock, but the result is very well protected routes. It's a steep dihedral; the east face is a solid slab, while the west face feels inverted and a little more crumbly. With a 60m rope, there's a great belay station with a nice rock as a bench.

To help reorganize this area, this crag is divided into the Main Crag & Lower Right Side.

Getting There

Park as for Practice Rock, ~8.1 mi W of Elephant Buttresses. Hike up & R from Practice Rock.

Does anyone know about the new climbs above the Bowling Alley? Is there a new guidebook which covers these climbs? Any info much appreciated!

There is now a lot of very very loose rocks/boulders along the approach to the top tier because of the rescue yesterday. BE CAREFUL

Red chalk bag found under the 5.9 or 5.10a behind tree route last week. Does this belong to anyone?
