Yipes! I don't remember any place along Broadway that looks this hairy!

Doesn't look like any moderate snow climb to me? Looks pretty technical according to this picture. View pic full resolution and you can make out the difficulties....... Maybe it is a variation?

Definitely not a variation, just Broadway in February.

This move is much easier (i.e. not overhung) if you take it low. You can make out the foot ledge with snow on it, and use the ledge directly below the bulge for secure hand holds.

Rarely does a picture to justice to climbing situations. This one is awesome! I'm a wuss, so I take my pack off there and crawl under that boulder.

What the HELL was I thinking when I thought I could go SOLO this route? Holy HELL, no wonder I backed off yesterday! I feel so much better about that after looking at this photo. What an incredible snapshot! Mucho Kudos!

Yeah, I agree w/ Phil. This move is safer low, like on the belly - just like the 'Belly Crawl' move on OS up on the Grand Teton. I have this same photo of my partner but mine is very flowery and green - somewhere Heidi might twirl by. The snow and ice make this climb far more serious.
