In 2003, then-27-year-old Colorado outdoorsman Aron Ralston freed himself from a six-day entrapment by a boulder in the bottom of a remote Utah slot canyon by amputating his lower right arm with his multi-tool knife, then hiking four hours to a helicopter rescue orchestrated by his mother. The miracle of his survival has inspired him to greater adventures, including skiing off the summit of Denali, in June, and to become a conservation activist to help protect the wild lands of Utah and Colorado. He is now teaming up with 2nd Congressional District candidate Will Shafroth's campaign to help promote renewable energy, conserve our public lands, and work towards a sustainable future.
