The Coffee Pot Rocks trail passes below a goodly n...

Description

The Coffeepot Rock area includes those formations surrounding the very obvious Coffepot Rock (shaped like...well, you know). These formations will be accessed from the trailhead off Coffeepot Rock, or from Soldier Pass Road trailhead as specified.

Getting There

Once on Coffee Pot Road, drive .5 miles to Sandborn Drive and take a left. Turn right on Grasshopper Lane, and continue up to Buena Vista Drive and turn right. The Sugarloaf Trailhead is right there.

Jake Dayley on MAJAK Line FA making the route his. Great jamming the whole way, the route is foreshortened by the camera, he's about halfway up. Great t-shirt weather in Sedona December 9, 2006.

MAJAKOL Line 5.11a 6c 22 VII+ 22 E3 5c  AZ : Sedona Area : ... : Jap Head
The start is face to a thin crack that widens to perfect hands, the rock is harder than lots of other soft sedona routes. Great hands for a long ways then a short easy OW section gets you to the works. A 10' roof guards the exit but it's no more than 10+ jams with a bomber lock after the roof. Steep lieback on the limestone band to exit right and you're done. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in AZ
