Coal Creek Canyon (CO Hwy 72) is mostly private property but is host to at least one great crag at the top of the canyon that will be worth the drive.

Eds. There are various crags like Wonderland, Pinecliffe (perhaps now closed?), Forsythe Rock, Twin Sisters' three crags, The Shaft, Blue Mountain (most, if not all, on private land), and The Scoop/Echo Canyon. There are plenty of additional chunks of rock that may require careful map inspection to find legal access.

Getting There

Drive South from Boulder 10 miles or north from Golden on CO Hwy 93, and go west on CO Hwy 72.

The anchors are not easily reached from the top of the crag, meaning a TR is challenging without first leading....[more]   Browse More Classics in CO
