Description

This east facing cirque beginning right of the Merlin offers steeper walls as you go north. The rock is quite shear in the steepest zone which is above a glacier/snowfield. Whether an actual glacier exits here any more I am not certain but snow blowing off the Cloud Peak summit every winter would make for permanent snow fields.

Getting There

Leave Cloud Peak Resvervoir east of Cloud Peak passing Diamond Lake and on up to Glacier Lake. Some of these alpine lakes have zones of shear cliffs at lake level making a walk along the shoreline not feasible.
